When the Sunflowers fade...

Just a couple of weeks ago...
My sunflowers looked like this one!
This is called a Teddy Bear cuz it is so cute and small.

Now my Teddy Bears look like this...

Some of the taller sunflowers look like this...

I don't mind the turning of my beauties because it brings
my favorite thing about the ending of spring in my garden.
LOVE BIRDS
My own special "Tender Mercy"
the one that says "you will survive the dreaded summer, you can make it, fall will come again and so will spring. Then it will be time for us to come eat your seeds again."
The love birds, have survived here in the hot desert temperatures for I don't know how long. They have found their way to my garden now for 4 years. I love listening to them sing.
I rejoice every year the first time I hear their song and every time after until they leave me.

I am still waiting to photograph them...
Maybe this year.

Our Missionary

A very precious Son was born.

He Grew...

He was Loved, he was cherished,
He was nurtured, he was taught and trained,
He made good choices and learned from his mistakes.

Now... He is ready, he is prepared,
His greatest desire is to serve his Hea
venly Father
by bringing the Good News of the Gospel of Je
sus Christ
by serving as a Missionary
.

Elder Stephan Granger Johnson
is called to serve in the
Nashville, Tennessee Mission.

We LOVE you, son.
Your adventure has just begun.

May Days

This month is flying by and I find myself grateful that I have a journal where I jot down many thoughts and feelings because I have not been posting here the way I like to...
I am also grateful for our Stake Challenge where we are to record every day, the workings of the Spirit in our lives and the lives of our family. I have enjoyed doing this so much and have recognized how loved I am and my family is. Our Heavenly Father does have a plan for us and it is brought to pass day by day, step by step, and the Small and Simple Things really do Matter. I have a testimony of this truth.

It Happens...

If you listen real close I will tell you a secret.

I don't like to be yelled at. I don't like doors slammed around me. I don't like pouty fuming huffing humans who stomp around when they are mad at me. I don't like it when they are teenagers who live in my home (o yea, those are my teenagers) and I ESPECIALLY DON'T LIKE IT WHEN IT IS MY HUSBAND! I believe we should use words if we are angry, upset, hurt, or down. I believe in taking a break if we need one, walking away for awhile to cool off or chill or even pray.

I don't like it and I can wait as long as it takes for the sincere apology that comes from my man when he is looking at me (not at his phone while he is doing something else.)

I can wait, as long as it takes.
And I will. Because...
He is worth it, we are worth it.
